Joseph Decuis American Kobe Halves are a great way for the beef aficionado to have — at your fingertips — the ability to enjoy the full Kobe experience at home, and to share it with friends, associates and family.
For those like Pete and I, who always want a freezer full of this great beef at the ready when unexpected guests come to our farm, for dinner with the family, or for a fine steak and a bottle of wine together — we've found tremendous satisfaction in making sure our freezer is stocked with our American Kobe. If you too would like American Kobe at the greatest value, we recommend purchasing halves. A limited number of halves raised on our farm are now available. Purchasing a half results in a savings of 25% when compared to purchasing individual cuts from The Emporium at Joseph Decuis, and a savings of 50% compared to American Kobe available from leading retailers. All cuts are butchered to the exact specifications we use at Joseph Decuis. What's more, our chef's special preparations and cooking tips are available as cooking guidelines for your home use.

Moose the dog (he stays with us!). When purchasing our American Kobe Half, you will receive the following cuts of this delicacy. The total cost for a half is $2,500 — this will provide approximately 200 pounds of beef at approximately $12/pound, or a 50% savings over retail. You'll need a freezer with 10 gallons of capacity to store your half, which will provide fingertip-readiness for a year or more. What a great way, on the spur of the moment, to entertain friends or guests and enjoy this delicacy at home.
The weight of the halves will vary as we are not focused on quantity (or weight), we are focused on quality of beef, where it is harvested at peak marbling. Halves will range from 200-250 pounds. A 200-lb half would include the following cuts, which will be processed to Joseph Decuis' chef's specs, packaged, and frozen for delivery.
